Per yahoo Maps it takes about 8 hours and 19 mins

Donna Tx. is 530 miles from DFW airport. If you average 60 miles an hour and don't stop you can make it in 9 hours. However, if you are flying in from somewhere, you would be better of flying to San Antonio. That is only 245 miles. A 4 hour drive. What would be even better is if you are flying Southwest Airlines you could fly to Harlingen and that is only 23 miles from Donna.

2 and half hrs
4 :
try yahoo maps or google maps

How exciting; I'm originally from McAllen! Via plane ..it takes about two hours to fly from Lovefield to HRL, via car it takes about 7 1/2 to 8 hours (with the occasional stop for food/gas). Hope this helped! Enjoy the Valley!

About traveling from Dallas/Fort Worth cheap flights throughout the U.S.

Traveling from Dallas/Fort Worth cheap flights throughout the U.S.?
I live in Dallas and I want to take my family on a vacation in the continental U.S. It won't be that elaborate of a vacation, because my budget for airfare roundtrip is 800-975 dollars. Any destination suggestions would be great. Oh, and there are 5 people in my family. Any airline is fine, and when telling me please tell me which airline you are talking about. Any help is appreciated! THANKS!

go to aa.com (american airlines website) and look under the picture for their sales...edit the city for dallas. the reason why i say go to american airlines is because their largest hub is at the dallas airport. now, this doesn't mean that they will necessarily be the cheapest, but they will have a direct flight most likely. do this first, and then decide where all you really want to go and do an orbitz search at orbitz.com. this will reveal the cheapest airlines for this route. then directly go to that airline's website to receive a lower fare, because orbitz has to charge like 6 or 7 extra dollars for booking fee (so they make a profit). have a fun and safe trip. If your family is "younger" consider doing a Disney vacation. I've been on two with my family, and am currently older than the normal disney "age" but i would go back in a heartbeat because it is truly a place of magic and fun! and you will get good deals on a trip such as this. Enjoy!

Fly out of Love Field on Southwest and save $$$. I recommend Chicago, Baltimore and NYC as destinations

I agree that if you fly out of Dallas Love Field with Southwest Airlines you can save quite a bit of money. Go to http://www.southwest.com and find out places you can go to.

About travelling to Dallas/Fort Worth in 3 weeks, anything "punk rock" to do

Travelling to Dallas/Fort Worth in 3 weeks, anything "punk rock" to do ?
We are two girls (22 years old) and we are going to Dallas/Fort Worth in about 3 weeks. (Yeah I know, it looks like our other questions, but we are road tripping around the USA :P) But, we don't really know what to do and/or where to go to see people that would fit with us. We are mostly all about music (punk/rock) so any shows would be great. Bars with pool table, nice and not too expensive restaurant ? Any safe hotel/motel ? What would be the best Tex-Mex restaurant (I've heard of Herrera's, any other suggestions ?).. And beside that, just generally _what else is there to do in Texas_ ? Any idea, people ? Put everything that comes to your mind, but it'd be better if you had a little description for each of your suggestions ;) :) Thank you ! (Sorry for any mistakes/weird sentences, I'm french :))

For the ounk/rock scene you'll definately want to check out an area downtown called Deep Elm. I like a place down there called The Bone. Trees or the Gyspy Tea Room probably wil have the music you are looking for as well. For Tex Mex - there are so, so many goods one here. Chuys, Glorias', Blue Goose, and Blue Mesa are some really good ones. I like Chuy's the best. All around Dallas has tons of restuarants to go to. The people here are very diverse, you will find just about anything. A lot of people think they're going to see a bunch of cowboys but not so. You might want to practice saying the word "ya'll" though. :) Stay in a hotel - Anything in Dallas classified as a motel is going to be bad. As far as affordable, Holiday Inn Express is the one my fiance and I would recommend. There are two parts of town you will want to avoid - South and East Dallas. Don't go in those areas, it NOT safe. There are lots of museums and clubs all over the city. A lot of tourist go to the West End and Greenville Ave. I think Greenville Ave is the best when people come to town. But no matter where you go in Dallas, keep a great map with you. Oh and, Welcome to Texas!! :)

Go down to the West End for sure..or Lower Greenville!

Most of the punk clubs have gone out of business. Club Dada, The Double Wide, The Amsterdam Bar, The Fallout Lounge, The Red Blood Club, The Curtain Club, Sons of Hermann Hall, The Prophet Bar, The Door and Reno's Chop Shop Saloon are some places to see live music. A club called The Door is still open and it's a Straight Edge club. All ages, no smoking and no drinking. Deep Ellum used to be the place to go, but it just isn't the same anymore. You should have been there in the 80's or the 90's. The Bone is not a punk club. You will have better luck if you are Goth or rockabilly. The website below has a listing of the clubs and what night are goth nights. Pick up a Dallas Observer when you are in town. It is a free weekly paper that lists all of the events going on in Dallas. You can find them at most convenience stores. For good Mexican food go to Cuquita's on Henderson. They are open until 2am and very popular after going to the clubs.

About how do I take a train or bus from Chicago, IL to Fort Worth, TX

How do I take a train or bus from Chicago, IL to Fort Worth, TX?
I've never taken a train or bus before without somebody else, so I don't exactly know how that goes when it comes to long distance traveling. I've looked at some websites, but everything that comes up in the search engine has nothing to do with what I'm looking for. I want to take whichever would be cheapest and less confusing to deal with. But honestly, I'm more confused than I have ever been. So if someone could help me out a bit, I'd really appreciate it.

About Date Advice in Dallas / Fort Worth Texas

Date Advice in Dallas / Fort Worth Texas?
Hi, I'm a businessman travelling to Dallas/ Fort Worth Texas for about 3 weeks for work and pleasure. I'll be meeting this wonderful lady and would like to take her out and do something interesting. I really don't know anything about DFW, this is my first time here. I would like a local expert to give me advice. The girl she's sporty, so I'll take her out to a game. Scenic places to travel would also be good since she likes photography. Also any advice on cool restaurants would be great. Also any interesting activity to do. I'll be waiting for all your responses.

Well it kind of depends on where you will be staying...what part of the city. Near Arlington there are many nice restaraunts, PF Changs is awesome. Texas Roadhouse is good and so is Salt Grass Steakhouse. There is Dealy (sp?) plaza in downtown Dallas to tour, the west end has been closed down recently I think, but deep ellum has some clubs still that give live music and a chance to go out and shake your a$$... Go online to Dallas website and find the activity calendar for the city, same for Ft Worth and Arlington, Plano Richardson. There are even some free events some times this time of year, theater groups and so forth... Good luck and have a great time...

1) Checkout restaurant row in a town called Addison. There is a ton of nice restaurants on Belt Line Rd. 2) If she likes country music take her to the stockyards in FW. 3) Try to get tickets for a Mavs game. Very energetic atmosphere. 4) If you want to be unique bring her to the Farmers Market in Dallas on a weekend morning. 5) IĆ¢€™ve also found that walking down the Trinity River in downtown FW is nice. 6) There is a casino a 1hr drive up I-35 on the Oklahoma boarder Hope this helps a little.
